Acoustic attenuation for reducing environmental noise

PTM Group began construction on  18 June, 2017, to build 80 new residential houses for RAAF Base Darwin. This is a master planned subdivision by Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and PTM Group are contracted to provide a complete turnkey package to DHA. The RAAF Base Darwin site sits close to the Darwin International Airport complex.

The house designs satisfy DHA design and construction specifications and are suited to the tropical environment. To create a better lifestyle and reduce noise pollution from aircraft, the dwellings at RAAF Base Darwin include acoustic attenuation measures. This means the homes are built with features that help to buffer environmental noise.

Four months into the construction phase PTM Group have completed approximately 60% of the construction.
