PTM Group were contracted by NT Government to build an architecturally designed palliative care unit for terminally ill patients. The project comprised of a 12 bed purpose built facility to the value of $4.2M. The medical needs and comfort of these patients are a high priority to ensure that their complete wellbeing were met during the final stages of life.

Each room was complete with an ensuite and access onto a private tropical garden and screened verandah. This space allows family and friends to visit in a peaceful and supportive environment.

To provide a facility that met medical standards as well as staff and patient needs we liaised effectively with consulting health professionals and project managers, and held regular site meetings with all stakeholders. Staff facilities including a treatment room were designed and constructed to provide practical working spaces allowing for smoother day-to-day operation of the facility.

During construction PTM Group met complex and predefined specifications to make sure that all design parameters were achieved and that the facility was adequately medically equipped. The equipment installed was up to date to medical standard, including all provision for medical gases.

PTM Group were proud to have been part of this project and it still remains in the hearts of all employees who dedicatedly worked on it.
